Verla "Vic" Mae Myers

New Iberia- Funeral services will be held for Ms. Verla Mae Myers on Thursday October 13, 2011 at 11:00AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry serving as the officiant. Visitation will begin on Wednesday October 12, 2011 at 4:00PM until 9:00PM with the recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will continue the following morning beginning at 8:00AM until service time. Inturnment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

A native and longtime resident of New Iberia, Ms. Myers, age 76, passed away on Monday October 10, 2011 at 9:15AM at a local nursing home.

Vic as she was affectionately known by, attended the Arc of Iberia for 30 years. She enjoyed her music and loved to dance. She enjoyed going camping and loved wearing Mardi Gras beads, her favorite time of year was Mardi Gras season.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her brothers, Loveless Myers of Lydia, and Larry Myers and wife Marty of Baldwin; Nieces, Bonnie Gardner and husband Bruce of Lydia, Amy Falgout and husband Mark of Denham Springs, Beth Billiot and husband Joshua of Lafayette, Melanie Menard and husband Ronny of Coteau, Sheila Touchet and husband James of New Iberia, Vickkie Miller of Copperscove, Tx.; Nephews, John Verdin and wife Ona of Leesville, Brian Verdin and wife Carrie of Many; as well as a host of grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Levy and Viola Myers, and one sister-in-law Eugenie Jenny Myers.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Craig Duval Jr., Tyler Duval, Jason Guillot, Ryan Guillory, Bruce Gardner, and Mark Falgout.
