Abbeville - Funeral Services for Mrs. Louis Boudreaux, the former Lucille August, 86, will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Wright officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. A native of Soreal, LA and a resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Lucille passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at a local hospital. She loved her children, cooking and family gatherings. She would give anything to anyone and do whatever she could to help someone. Everybody loved her and she knew no strangers. Mrs. Lucille was a wonderful and loving mother who will be dearly missed by all family and friends. She is survived by two sons, Calvin Boudreaux and wife Carolyn and Tony Boudreaux, both of Abbeville; five daughters, Barbara Adams and husband Elton, Beverly Boudreaux, Linda Boudreaux, Marilyn Boudreaux, and Yvonne Morris and husband Caszell, all of Abbeville; two daughters-in-law, Marion Boudreaux and Bernadette Boudreaux; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Joseph Boudreaux, Sr.; six sons, Louis Joseph Boudreaux, Jr., Roland Boudreaux, Angelo Boudreaux, Ray Boudreaux and twins, Eric and Alex Boudreaux; her daughter, Meriam Boudreaux; her parents, Alex and Rose Saddler August; five brothers, Frank August, Walter August, Charlie August, Curley August and Clifton August; and one sister, Beatrice Harris. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Parker, Ray Jr. Boudreaux, Dwight Harris, Tony Boudreaux, Tony Mouton, Antonio Boudreaux and Senic Briggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Caszell Morris, Nalon Comeaux, Elton Adams and Calvin Boudreaux. The family of Lucille Boudreaux would like to extend their thanks for your prayers, calls, flowers, food, and all acts of kindness, and thoughtfulness shown during our time of sorrow.
