Mary Koenig Bower

Broussard " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Francis Bower, the former Mary Koenig, 95, will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Duhon and Fr. Kendall Faulk officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A native of Erath and a resident of Nederland, TX, Mrs. Bower died at 6:29AM in Medical Center of Southwest Texas in Port Arthur, TX. She was known for her skill as a seamstress. She is survived by a son, Paul Bower and his wife Lynda of Nederland, TX; a daughter, Janet Hebert and her husband Donald of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Darlene Fontenot, Donna Baudoin, and Sharon Landry; ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Bower; parents, Clement and Belzire Boudreaux Koenig; two sisters and six brothers. Serving as pallbearers will be Adrien Baudoin, Roger Fontenot, Scott Landry, Trenton Baudoin, Derek Dupuis, Kyle Baudoin, and Seth Hebert. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Leon Monte. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy., (337) 837-9887, will be handling the arrangements.
