Alvin "Be' Be" Vice

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

A native of Ged, LA and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Vice died on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 12:45 PM in a New Iberia hospital. He worked in construction for 45 years for Brown & Root and Kingston Construction. He enjoyed owning race horses and attending horse racing. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening.

He is survived by his children, Barbara Jane Vice Staples and her husband Jim of New Castle, CO, Roger Wayne Vice and his wife Debbie, Regina Vice Knisley all of New Iberia, Glenn Vice and his wife Emi of Baton Rouge and Sherry Vice Dupuis of New Iberia; his siblings, Loveless Vice of New Iberia, Lula Mae Vice Touchet and Ruby Vice Granger both of Erath; his grandchildren, Camille Vice Lopez and her husband Scott, Frank Romero, Jr. and his wife Dacia, Taylor Romero, Brandon Romero, Mikki Vice Evans and her husband Brian, Brooke Soileau and her husband Neil all of New Iberia, Stuart Vice of Youngsville, Ian Dupuis of Henderson, Lana Dupuis Welch and her husband Billie of Ceclia, Lauren LeMaire Slaughter and her husband Val and Karl Knisely all of New Iberia; his great grandchildren, Bailey Lopez, Benjamin Lopez, Trey Romero, Zoie Evans, Pierre Romero, Nicholas Romero, Jean-Paul Romero, Christian Romero, Kehlan Dupuis, Luke Soileau, Olivia Evans, Savanna Romero, Eli Soileau, Bentley Welch, Billie Shay Welch, Greyson Slaughter, Morgan Dupuis and Taylor Scott Romero, II; his step grandchild, John Knisley and his wife Lily; and his step great grandchildren, Noah and Hunter Knisley and his special friend, Mavely Migues of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zoie Romero Vice; his parents, Gustave and Lydia Romero Vice; his siblings, Dalton Vice, Eunice Vice Boudreaux, Robert Vice and Lily Mae Vice Richard and his son-in-law, Tom Knisley.

Pallbearers will be Frank Romero, Jr., Taylor Romero, Brandon Romero, Stuart Vice, Ian Dupuis, Karl Knisely and Jim Staples.
