Broussard- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Terry Joseph Guilbeau, 56, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 01, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA with Rev. Bill Ruskowski, Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral of Lafayette beginning at 10:00AM Tuesday, July 31, 2012 with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will continue until just prior to service time on Wednesday, August 01, 2012. Entombment will follow church services at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Guilbeau was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved with all of his heart and soul. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved and spoiled them to the fullest. He loved going to baseball games watching his grandson play and being with family. Mr. Guilbeau lived life helping many people and putting himself on the back burner, others needs came before his own. His Broussard City Council seat was an accomplishment he was very proud of, this also allowed him to help and offer his honest opinions for the better of the people and a city he was born and raised in. Daddy , you will always be embedded in our hearts and your wonderful memories will be cherished forever, thank you for the wonderful life you have given all of us and allowing us to be a part of yours, most of all We Love you. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sandra Sandy Demette Guilbeau of Broussard, LA; daughter, Angelique Angel G. Racca and her husband, Troy of Broussard, LA; son, Shane Joseph Guilbeau of Broussard, LA; granddaughter, Jobie Racca, grandson Shae Racca and granddaughter, McKenzi Racca all of Broussard, LA; sister, Sandy G. Benoit and her husband, Dallas of Broussard, LA; nephews, Jeff Benoit of Broussard, LA, Chip Benoit and his wife, Jenny of Carencro, LA and Bryan Benoit and his wife Charlene of Lafayette, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Guilbeau and Lucy Trahan Guilbeau and one grandson, Kael James Racca. Serving as pallbearers will be, Shane Guilbeau, Dallas Benoit, Shae Racca, Jeff Benoit, Troy Racca, Bryan Benoit and Chip Benoit. Honorary pallbearers will be Francis Leger, Rene Prejean, Ernest Guilbeau and ChadBoudreaux. The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for the kind and heartfelt services they provided. Ms. Jackie Olinger, Mr. Guilbeaus nurse, was an amazing addition to our family even if for a short period. The care, love and dedicated attention she provided to him was more than any family could have expected. We are forever thankful and grateful for having Ms. Jackie help us and guide us through the rough journey we have had to travel.
