Broussard- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lizzie Romero Soigne, 88, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA with Rev. Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 1:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM at the funeral home and will resume at 8:00AM, Thursday September 8, 2011 until just prior to church services. Entombment will follow church services at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Youngville. A native of Youngsville and a longtime resident of Broussard Mrs. Soigne passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her nephews home in Lafayette. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Soigne, parents, Claude and Naomi Romero and a sister, Margie Thibodeaux.
