Lydia Perez Duhon

A native of Jeanerette, former resident of Jeanerette and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Duhon passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2010 at 1:05 PM in a New Iberia hospital.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 9:00 AM until services and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 10:30 AM.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Borel and her husband Marshall and Eva Duhon Derouen all of Jeanerette, Barbara Duhon and husband Billy, Sr. of Baldwin:her daughter-in-law, Celina Duhon of Baldwin; her brother, John Perez, Jr. of Houston, TX; her sisters, Bertha Louviere and her husband Ray of Jeanerette and Marie Oliver Lee of New Iberia, 54 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovey Duhon; her parents, John Perez, Sr. and Eva Leger Perez; her daughter, Theresa Trosclair; her son, Eddie Duhon; her step-daughters, Antoinette Perez and Azema Buteaux; her step-sons, Joseph Duhon, Woodley Duhon and Whitney Duhon; her sisters, Gloria Gifford, Albertine Courville, Mary Lena Leger, Ida Darby and Coralie Bonin and her brothers, Jean Marie Perez, Isadore Leger, Elton Perez, Robert Perez and Joseph Perez.

Pallbearers will be Edmond Racca, Billy Duhon, Sr., Coty Duhon, Robert Perez, Rhine Borel and Raywood Buteaux.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Louviere.
