Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Lawless Thibodeaux, 89, on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Thibodeaux died on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 5:40 PM in a New Iberia hospital. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his nephews, Alex Thibodeaux, Jr. of Houston, TX and Johnnie Thibodeaux of New Iberia; his great niece, Sara Miller of New Iberia; his great nephews, Dylan Thibodeaux of Jeanerette and Randal Thibodeaux of New Iberia and a special friend, Alfred Migues and his wife Beverly of Jeanerette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Telesphore and Hortense Derise Thibldeaux and his brothers, Lawrence Thibodeaux and Alex Thibodeaux, Sr. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Thibodeaux, Alex Thibodeaux, Jr., Randal Thibodeaux, Dillon Thibodeaux, Butch Bourgeois and Ricky Lancon. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St. (337) 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
