Brent James Bodoin

Lafayette - Brent James Bodoin, 57 of Broussard, Louisiana died on April 19, 2012, in Clearwater, Florida after a courageous fight against lung cancer. He was born June 14, 1954 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Joseph Leroy and Shirley Marie Bodoin, and spent his childhood traveling the world via the U.S. Air Force with his parents and 5 brothers. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, husband and uncle. Brent was an avid lover of all forms of music and an absolutely gifted cook. His sense of humor was only surpassed by his love of learning. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Shirley Bodoin of Broussard, LA; his daughter, Lelania Ridgley and her husband Lee of Clearwater, FL; his former wives, Rose Broussard Romero of Lafayette, LA and Toni Daspit Bodoin of Lafayette, La; his brothers; Eric Bodoin of Mount Juliet, TN, Mitchell Bodoin of Broussard, LA, Kirk Bodoin of Broussard, LA, and Kevin Bodoin of Suffolk, England; his grandchildren, Desiree and Destiny of Clearwater, FL and many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of incredible friends. He was preceded in death in his brother and one of his best friends, Alvin Bodoin. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at David Funeral Home in Lafayette, Louisiana. May you be at peace and get a good sleep.
