Lafayette - Memorial services are Friday, November 9, 2012, for Rev. Ronald Anson, 79. A time of gathering and services will begin at 7:00PM with visitation from 5:30 until just prior to services, which will be held at Family Life Church. Ronald H. Ron Anson anxiously went into the arms of Jesus, on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Ron was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, on April 10, 1933. After graduating from Drumright, Oklahoma High School, he entered the U.S. Navy from 1950 until 1954 serving much of the time in the Korean War Zone. After serving his country, he then attended Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma University in Petroleum Engineering thereby attaining a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a MS in Engineering Management. He and his family transferred from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lafayette in 1968 while he was employed by Amerada and has remained in Lafayette since. He was employed by Stooksberry Well Test Company as Manager of Engineering and Laboratory unit until 1983 when he became owner and operator of Anson Analytical Laboratories, Inc. He was currently employed by FESCO, Ltd. Ron committed his life diligently to the Lord Jesus in 1976 and was ordained as a Minister in 1983, serving in different Fellowships as Associate Pastor, Pastor of River of Life Ministries, and teacher of Gods Word. He was co-founder and President of the organization One Nation Under God, Inc., formed with the mission of bringing God back as the authority of this nation. He worked with the churches with no attention to denomination or race and believed strongly that God must be in the proper authority for this nation to survive. He leaves a loving wife, Jeannette Huval Anson, 7 children; Ronda Lynn Vuillemont- Smith, Price Bradford Anson, Preston Bradley Anson, of Nedra Anson Babcock; and Michael Gaberiel Anson, Stephen Christopher Anson , Priscilla Alicia Anson, and Ainsley Elizabeth Anson, of Sarah Blakewood Anson. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren are also his blessings. He was preceded in death by his father Harry V. Anson, mother Colleen Anson and a sister Dolores Anson Williams. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Acadiana.
