Gladys Myers Badeaux

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Badeaux died Tuesday March 27, 2012 at 10:15AM at her sons residence in Loreauville.

Mrs. Badeaux retired as an accountant secretary. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and crafts. She was a mentor at North Lewis School for the reading program and was an avid volunteer for many programs in New Iberia. Mrs. Badeaux loved to dance and was a member of the New Iberia Hoe downers square dance club for many years.

The family would especially like to thank Laura Gaspard and Rosemary Dancause for their loving care.

Survivors include her son, Jody Badeaux and wife Julie of Loreauville; a brother, Ned Myers of New Iberia; grandchildren, Sarah Badeaux and Courtney B. Dugas and husband Jude all of Loreauville and a great grandchild, Benjamin Waldmann also of Loreauville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson John Badeaux; a son, Nelson Brian Badeaux; her parents, Eloi and Celeste Romero Myers and her brothers and sisters, Warren and Lloyd Myers, Mildred M. Moncla and Marjorie M. Brock.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Badeaux, Don Brock, Tom Moncla, Jude Dugas, Orrin East and Richard Dickie Segura.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ned Myers.
