Ella Dore Jeansonne

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Joseph B. Jeansonne, the former, Ella Dore, age 80, Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 10:00am at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Monday February 4, 2013 at 10:00am until 10:00pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 8:00am until service time.

A native of Coteau and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Jeansonne died Friday February 1, 2013 at 5:00pm at Dauterive Hospital.

Mrs. Jeansonne is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph B. Jeansonne of New Iberia; her daughter, Kerry LaBiche and husband Todd of Abbeville; her son, Julius Jeansonne and wife Debra of New Iberia; her sister, Dollie Mae Lemoine of New Iberia; grandchildren, Wendy Gilfoil and husband Jamie of Houston, TX; Stacey Rebert and husband Shane of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; Jean-Paul Delahoussaye and wife Jennifer of Denver CO; Natalie Cormier and husband Jeremy of Erath and Jerico Jeansonne of New Iberia; great- grandchildren, Breigh, Destin and Shaina Rebert, Tyler Jeansonne, Jace, Gracie and Tristan Delahoussaye, Alex, Hannah and Noah Gilfoil, Bryce and Kelsey Cormier and Dawson Price.

Mrs. Jeansonne was preceded in death by her parents, Walter J. Dore and Natalie Lopez Dore.

Serving as pallbearers will be Julius, Jerico and Tyler Jeansonne, Todd LaBiche, Jean-Paul Delahoussaye, Jeremy Cormier, Shane Rebert and Jamie Gilfoil.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jace Delahoussaye, Alex and Noah Gilfoil, Bryce Cormier and Dawson Price.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kurt O Brien, Dr. Paul Gulotta, Dr. Moses Kitakule and Dauterive Hospital ICU Staff for the compassionate care that was given to Mrs. Jeansonne.
