New Iberia- Graveside services for Mrs. Cloy Gene Graham, the former Velda Fern Guinn, age 85 will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 10:00am at Cummins Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Monday February 4, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a Service of Prayer lead by Rev. Scott Bullock at 6:00pm.
A native of Maud, Oklahoma and resident of New Iberia, Honey as she was affectionately known, passed away on Friday February 1, 2013 at 9:42pm at a Lake Charles assisted living facility. She was a homemaker, Licensed Practical Nurse, member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering in church activities. Mrs. Graham traveled the world throughout her lifetime and was very artistic. She was a talented painter, pianist, and enjoyed sewing. She was an amazing woman, quick witted, excellent joke teller, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her step daughter, De Lenda Graham Lily and her husband Dale Grimes of Winnsboro, Tx; grandchildren, Sarah Marie Graham Abushanab and husband Joseph of Lake Charles, and Jacob Graham of Crandal, Tx; great grandchildren, Jalil Joseph and Lilah Orchid Abushanab of Lake Charles; brothers, Donald Guinn of Bakersfield, Ca., Van Guinn and wife Erma of Maud, Ok; and son-in-law, Richard Domingues of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cloy Gene Graham; parents, Alva E. Guinn and Esther Weatherford Gholson Guinn; sons, Gene Paul and Gary Michael Graham; daughter-in-law, Micheal Boone Graham Domingues; grandchildren, Matthew Paul Graham and Kristal Gail Graham.
