Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Galin Joe Broussard, 59, will be held on Thursday March 29, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday March 29, 2012 from 9:00AM until time of the services, with a recitation of the Rosary at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Erath and a resident of New Iberia, Joe passed away at 1:28PM on Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Iberia General Medical Center. Joe was a loving brother and uncle who loved spending time with family and friends. Joe never met a stranger if he met you today you were always his friend. He is survived by his four sisters Audrey Theriot of Abbeville, Mary and her husband Raywood Faulk of Abbeville, Jenil and her husband Michael Falgout of Delcambre, and Sable and her husband Karl Chauvin of New Iberia; his three brothers Donald and his wife Velta Broussard of Abbeville, Sterling and his wife Diana Broussard of Erath, and Wilbert Shoot Broussard of Erath; also numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Lua Shoot the Bean and Lilly Simon Broussard; a brother in law Percy Theriot; and a nephew Brian Dino Theriot. Serving as pallbearers will be Blain Broussard, David Falgout, Jason Chauvin, Kevin LeBlanc, Ryan Theriot, Ricky Broussard, Mark Broussard, and Kenneth Broussard. David Funeral Home of Erath , 209 E.
