Youngsville " A mass of Christian Burial for Frank Paul Piccione, 94, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday May 12, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville with Fr. Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday May 11, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will resume Saturday May 12, 2012 from 8:00 A.M. until time of the services. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A native of Lafayette, Frank passed away at 4:12 P.M. on Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the A.M.G. Specialty Hospital in Lafayette. Frank was a locomotive engineer retiring after 36 years of service with Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, and the Italian American Club of Lafayette. After retirement he enjoyed his vegetable garden and he often volunteered at the Alleman Center doing carpentry and making gifts to be sold in the shop at Acadian Village. Survivors include his two daughters Linda Woodward of Youngsville, and Deborah Blanchard of Covington; his two sons Frank Piccione Jr., and Ronald Piccione both of Charleston, South Carolina; two brothers Peter C. Piccione of Lafayette, and Phillip Piccione of San Antonio, Texas; ten grandchildren Kim Piccione, Jeff Piccione, Scott Piccione, Angie Perrodin, Jennifer Woodward, Wesley Blanchard, Jill Piccione, Amanda DiFabio, Julie Keithley, and Eric Blanchard; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence Ayo Piccione; his parents Salvatore and Anna Marie Mangiapane Piccione Jr.; two sisters Rose Goff, and Theresa Piccione; and four brothers Sam Piccione, Anthony Piccione, Vincent Piccione, and Joseph Piccione. Frank was generous and fun - loving and will be missed by all who knew him.
