New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Willis Girouard the former Delta Bourque, Age 100 at 11:00AM Saturday, May 26, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Vermilion and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Girouard died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 12:10PM at Consolata Nursing Home. Mrs. Girouard enjoyed being with and caring for her family. The family would especially like to thank AAA Hospice, the staff at Consolata Nursing Home and Dr. George Cousin for their loving care. Survivors include her children, Bert Girouard and wife Lorraine, Lonney Girouard and Joyce G. Schexnayder and husband Johnny all of New Iberia; one sister, Agnes Blanchard of New Iberia; a Godchild, Darline Laughlin and husband Tommie of Grapevine, Texas; two sisters in law, Della and Irene Bourque both of Kaplan; grandchildren, Dean Schexnayder and wife Carol of Warrior, Alabama, David Schexnayder and fianc Dawn, Debbie Ryan, Lori Doumit and husband Steve, Penny Segura and husband Arty and Amy Girouard all of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Derrick Doumit and wife Margo, Demi and Drew Doumit and A.J. Segura all of New Iberia, Hillary Dyke and husband Johnathan, Bailey and Landon Schexnayder all of Warrior, Alabama, Kaitlyn Schexnayder and Koby Bonin both of Lafayette and Kaylin Francis and husband Jackie of New Iberia; great great grandchildren, Justice Ryan and J.J. Francis both of New Iberia and Aubrie Schexnayder of Lafayette and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Girouard; parents, Marcel and Elise Bonin Bourque; brothers, Amar, Willie, Maurice, Ulrich, Oscar and Paul Bourque; two great grandsons, James Schexnayder and Devon Doumit and a great nephew, David Laughlin. Pallbearers will be Bert and Amy Girouard, David, Dean and Johnny Schexnayder and Debbie Ryan. Honorary pallbearers will be Penny Segura, Lori Doumit, Lonney Girouard, Justice Ryan and Anne Laughlin.
