Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Obray Toby Aucoin the former Evelyn Ella St. Germain, Age 88, at 10:00AM Saturday May 26, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday May 25, 2012 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Aucoin died Wednesday May 23, 2012 at 2:05PM at her residence in Jeanerette surrounded by her family. Mrs. Aucoin was co-owner/operator of Aucoins Grocery Store in Jeanerette along with her husband Toby . She enjoyed fishing, painting and working at their camp at Cypremort Point. She also enjoyed gardening and playing cards. Ella was loved by everyone. When their grocery store was in operation, she would love to give the kids lagniappe . She always had a smile on her face and loved helping others. She spent many years enjoying their camp at Cypremort Point. She dearly loved her husband, beloved son, and her dearest grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ella had a great compassion for animals and dearly loved her Catholic faith. Survivors include her son, Dennis Aucoin Sr. and wife Sheila of Jeanerette; her brother, Donald T-Don St. Germain and wife Mary Lee of Jeanerette; her sister, Anita S. Hebert of Kiln, Mississippi; grandchildren, Dennis Aucoin, Jr. and wife Raynell of Jeanerette and Misty A. Morris and husband Blaine of New Iberia and her great grandchildren, Trey and Kristin Morris both of New Iberia and Kaleb Aucoin of Jeanerette. She was preceded in death by her husband Obray Toby Aucoin; parents, Amar and Anaise Mendoza St. Germain and three brothers, Herman, Jack and Daniel St. Germain. Pallbearers will be Dennis Dale Aucoin, Jr., Blaine Morris, Glenn St. Germain and Glynn Jarreau. Honorary pallbearer will be Donald T-Don St. Germain.
