Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather
Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Charles M. Charlie Boudreaux, age 62, Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 2:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel in Jeanerette with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 11:00AM until service time.
A native of Franklin and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Boudreaux died Monday October 8, 2012 at 4:58PM at his residence. Charlie was a Retired United States Navy Seal having served three Tours in the Vietnam War earning Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals, National Service Medal, Second Sea and Overseas Service Ribbon with four Bronze Stars, Fourth Good Conduct Award and Navy Battle E Award. He served as an instructor with the fleet training group at the U.S. Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He enjoyed bowling, riding his motorcycle and riding in his convertible.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Migues Boudreaux of Jeanerette; daughters, Rachael Boudreaux LeBlanc and husband Tommy and Renee Boudreaux LeBlanc and husband Kim, grandchildren, Amber Buteau, Blaine LeBlanc and wife Lori, Zachary LeBlanc and wife Jessica,Tiffany, Mary and Kourtlyn LeBlanc and hisgreat granddaughter, Emma LeBlanc, all of New Iberia; brothers, Alcide Boudreaux of New Iberia and Alvin Boudreaux, Jr. and wife Joyce of Franklin; sisters, Theresa Boudreaux Landry and husband Mitch of Jeanerette and Elise Boudreaux Bosworth of Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Boudreaux, Sr. and Louise Dupre Boudreaux, brothers, Joseph, Edward and Sidney Boudreaux, sisters, Geraldine Geri Boudreaux Martin and Victoria Boudreaux.
Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Buteau, Donald Dupuis, Alvin Boudreaux, Jr., Mitchell Migues and Zachary and Blaine LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers are Alcide, John and Kenny Boudreaux and David Prejean.
The Boudreaux family would like to extend special thanks to Charlies Caregiver, Geraldine Irving, AAA Hospice and Home Health Care.
