New Iberia " A Memorial Service will be conducted for Mrs. Joseph Warren Jefferson the former Barbara Berard, Age 91, at, 11:00AM Wednesday September 19, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00AM until service time. She died Tuesday September 10, 2012 at 11:59PM in Biloxi, Mississippi. Barbara Bobbi Berard Jefferson was born Barbara Beatrice Berard on January 22nd 1921. She was a 1937 graduate of Loreauville High School and was awarded a bachelors degree by Southwestern Louisiana Institute. Bobbi was a wife, beloved mother, homemaker, and was employed as an Office Manager by LOXCO. She was an avid reader who was active in a Fortnightly and in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her son, Joseph Anthony Jefferson and two granddaughters, Betty Grace Jefferson and Barbara Jane Jefferson all of Pass Christian, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Warren Jefferson and her parents, AA Tony Berard and Marie Antoinette Jefferson. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
