Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Curtis Loignon the former Laura Belle Touchet, 86, will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A native of Meaux and a resident of Abbeville Mrs. Loignon died at 4:15AM on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She worked at Mt. Carmel in the cafeteria for over 26 years; and was known for her enjoyment of working in her flower garden, going to church, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Curtis Loignon of Abbeville; two daughters, Nell Trahan and her husband Danny of Abbeville and Sharon Boudreaux and her husband Mike of Abbeville; four sisters, Jeanne Oliver of Erath, Lou Ella Cormier of Abbeville, Alice Comeaux of Erath, and Ella Mae Delahoussaye of New Iberia; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cledus and Alice Simon Touchet; four brothers, Harry Touchet, Harris Touchet, Roy Touchet, and C.J. Touchet; and two sisters, Nona Romero and Edley Bodin. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Boudreaux, Kahal Howard, Scott Trahan, Michael Cruz, Corey Gallagher, and Brad Braffett. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Kristofer Howell.
