Gerald Paul Bodin

New Iberia- Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Paul Bodin will be held on Thursday November 15, 2012 at 2:00pm at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois serving as the officiant. Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 9:00am until service time with a recitation of the rosary at 10:00am.

Mr. Bodin, age 74, passed away Monday November 12, 2012 at 2:25pm at a local healthcare facility. Mr. Bodin was a Safety Test Specialist with Teche Electric and Cleco before retiring after 25 years. In his spare time, Mr. Bodin enjoyed watching football and baseball, barbequing for his family, and taking care of his loyal pets, Tootsie and Chucky .

Mr. Bodin is survived by his wife of 29 years, Ruth Kincaid Bodin of Breaux Bridge; sons, Scott Summers, and Sean Summers and wife Annica of Lafayette; grandchildren, Duncan Summers of Parks, Gavin Summers of Rayne, Ryen Garrett and Kaylee Summers both of Lafayette; one brother, Elias E.J. Bodin of New Iberia; one sister, Dorothy Dot Migues of New Iberia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His is preceded in death by his parents, Saul and Hilda Haynes Bodin; and two sisters, Flavia Sanchez, and Amy Clements.
