Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Jason Jude Broussard, age 46, at 2:30 PM
Tuesday September 27, 2001, at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Monday, September 26, 2001, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM Monday. Visitation will resume Tuesday, September 27, 2011, from 8:00 AM until services.
A native of Jeanerette and a long time residence of Iota, Jason died Friday, September 23, 2011, at 12:26 AM in a Crowley Hospital.
Jason loved life and all the people around him; he showed his affection by giving you a breath taking hug. He was the man of the house and made sure you knew this by being the center of attraction, nothing could get done without his approval. He loved working outside, helping were ever he could whether it be by putting up Christmas decorations or taking out the trash. He love music, Elvis was his favorite and when it played he enjoy shaking his hips for you. He loved to ride around town and give direction to the places he wanted to go. He had an obsession with yellow sticky note, if they went missing, everyone knew he had them. Jason was loved by everyone he was just that kind of guy. He will be sadly missed by everyone.
He is survived by his sisters, Lori B. Schoen and her husband Thomas and Jennifer B. Derouen and her husband Jacque all of Jeanerette; his nephews, Wayne Latiolais, II, Brandon Latiolais, Cory C. Hebert, and Taylor P. Schoen; his niece Tiffany A. Sonnier and his great nephews, Andre J. Sonnier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. and Mary Landry Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Tom Schoen, Jacque Derouen, Taylor Schoen, Corey Hebert, Wayne Latiolais, II and Brandon Latiolais.
Jasons family would like to send out a very special thanks for all the love, care, and devotion that the care takers from the Iota State School & Evergreen McMillan Home have given Jason over the last 40 years including Paula Bihm, Brandy Deruso, Tasha Robinson, Khalylah Moore, Doris Castille, Zola Murry, and Orelia Lonnett. These special people have given Jason the quality of life that only a true family member could give. This is why we want to thank you all and let you know there will be a special place in Heaven for each and every one of you. Jason will make sure of it and he will be waiting for you when God needs you.
