New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Wayne P. Broussard, Sr. the former Betty Bonin, Age 69, at 11:00AM Monday, May 28, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Hall in Loreauville with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Weeks Island and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Broussard died Friday, May 25, 2012 at 5:35PM at her residence in New Iberia. She worked as a secretary for the LSU Ag Center for 27 years. Betty enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers, going to the Casino and spending time at their camp at Toledo Bend. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Wayne P. Broussard Sr.; children, Dean Broussard and wife Yvonne of Magnolia, Texas, Wayne Broussard Jr. and wife Jenny of Loreauville, Terri Broussard of New Iberia and Yvette Booker and husband Don of Wellington, Utah; grandchildren, Kenneth Louviere III and wife Claire of New Iberia, Kendra Stansbury and husband Cruz of Honolulu, Hawaii, Joshua Byrom of Lafayette, Quincy Broussard of New Iberia, Lucas Broussard of Magnolia, Texas, Patrick Broussard of Loreauville and Cheyenne Bodner of Loreauville and her great grandchildren, C.J., Kaiden and Jacob Stansbury, Hayden and Riley Byrom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Mazy Bertrand Bonin; in-laws, Louis and Louise Broussard; brother, Larry Bonin, Sr.; a granddaughter, Kayleigh Louviere, a grandson, Jacob Foreman and a daughter in law, Angelle Broussard.
