Esmee Mestayer Broussard

January 7, 1918 — September 29, 2011

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Julius P. Broussard, the former Esmee Mestayer, age 93, Saturday October 1, 2011 at 1:00PM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Russell J. Harrington officiating. Interment will follow in Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Friday September 30, 2011 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of the Rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday October 1, 2011 from 9:00AM until service time. A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Broussard died Thursday September 29, 2011 at 1:01PM at Maison De Lafayette Nursing Home. Esmee enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Broussard is survived by her son, Alan Broussard of Breaux Bridge and his companion Melinda Ramson of Lafayette; granddaughters, Cody Rae Broussard, Lucy Belle Broussard and Aleigh Claire Broussard, all of Denver, CO and her brother, Angus Mestayer of Loreauville. Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her husband, Julius P. Broussard, her parents, Bertin and Lucy Girouard Mestayer and her brother, Albert Mestayer.
