Abbeville " Funeral Services for Mrs. Phillip Sonnier, the former Mildred Tut Fabre, 96, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Scott Desormeaux officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, May 4, 2012 beginning at 10: 30AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. A native of Leroy, and a resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Sonnier passed away at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at a local health care center. Mildred was a loving mother, and grandmother who dearly loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Neil Sonnier and his wife Janet of Orange, Texas; daughters Jerry Rosa and her husband Charles of Leroy and Phyllis Duhon and her husband Larry of Meaux; and grandchildren, Eric Duhon and his wife Kerry of Leroy, Troy Duhon and his wife Maria of California, Nick Duhon of Maurice, Rene Selcer and husband Mike of Lafayette, Chris Rosa and his wife Melissa of Erath, Adrienne Sonnier of Baton Rouge and Jeremy Sonnier of Orange, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Sonnier; her parents Semar Fabre and Euphemie Comeaux Fabre; son Carl Sonnier; brother Jeffery Fabre; and sisters, Rosa Duhon and Babs Nunez. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Duhon, Nick Duhon, Jeremy Sonnier, Chris Rosa, Andrew Selcer, and Mike Selcer.
