New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Allen Paul McDonald, 75, on Tuesday, August 28,2012 at 3:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edward Duhon officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 10:00 AM until service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 1:00 PM. A native of Jefferson Island and resident of New Iberia, Mr. McDonald died on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 7:50 AM in a New Iberia health care facility. Mr. McDonald was employed with the Iberia Parish Sheriff Office for 27 years. He was also a Real Estate Broker and a contractor . He is survived by his daughter, Colleen McDonald Bayard and her husband David of New Iberia; his grandaughter, MaKayla Bayard, of New Iberia; his grandson,David Anthony Bayard Jr.,of New Iberia; his brother, Henry McDonald and his wife Dot of New Iberia; his sister, Catherine Darcey and her husband Donald, of New Iberia; his sister-in-law, Rita McDonald of Jefferson Island and his sister-in-law, Ruby McDonald of Jefferson Island. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Bernard McDonald; his parents Joseph Berick McDonald Sr. and Ora Bailleaux McDonald; one sister, Gwinnie Broussard and two brothers, J.B. McDonald, and Kermit McDonald.Pallbearers will be David Bayard Sr., Robert Snoddy, Blake Snoddy, Brent McDonald, Sheriff Louis Ackal, and Bucket Belaire. The family would like to give a special thanks to Brent McDonald , Robert and Donna Snoddy for their love and support of Mr. Allen.
