Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Veronica Pillete Jacquet, 65, will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Erath and a resident of Kaplan Mrs. Jacquet died at 9:30AM on Friday, October 28, 2011 at a Lafayette Hospital. She is survived by a son, Mark Jacquet, Sr. of Kaplan; two granddaughters, Astrid Singleton and her husband Edward of St. Martinville and Magon Jacquet of New Iberia; a grandson, Mark Jacquet, Jr. of St. Martinville; six great -grandchildren, Chaniya Fontenette of St. Martinville, Kaymen Vallot of New Iberia, Morgan Vallot of New Iberia, Dylan Singleton of St. Martinville, Edward Singleton, III of St. Martinville, and Mark Jacquet, III of New Iberia; a brother, Larry Pillette and his wife, Marion of Abbeville; her sons father, Anthony Tony Jacquet of New Iberia; a very special daughter- in-law, Carla McCoy and her husband Cliff of St. Martinville; Godchild, Derrick Broussard and a host of additional nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter J. and Rosebell Robertson Pillette; and a brother, Kenneth Michael Pillette. Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Broussard, Dwayne Jacquet, Oswald Jacquet, Jr., Michael Broussard, Joseph Hebert and Louis McCoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Broussard, Jr., Mark A. Jacquet, Mark A.
