New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Brenda Tauzin Maturin, Age 60, at 11:00AM Monday June 11, 2012 at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Paul Neel officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday June 10, 2012 from 3:00PM until service time Monday. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Brenda died Friday June 8, 2012 at 11:39AM at her residence in New Iberia. Brenda was a member of First Assembly of God Church in New Iberia where she served as a greeter and she was involved in many other ministries. She studied the Bible and loved all translations of the Bible. She was a Prayer Warrior. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, the outdoors, cooking and interior design. She really loved serving the Lord, her children and her family. Survivors include her children, Corey Maturin, Nicole T. Semar and fianc Chad Boutte, April S. Broussard and husband Anthony and Krystin Maturin all of New Iberia and Summer M. Mestayer and husband Lance of Dry Creek, brothers, Merlin Pete Tauzin and wife Linda, Darrell Tauzin and Kenneth Tauzin and wife Christen all of New Iberia and a sister, Betty T. Folks and husband Joseph Toucheque of Scott and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Tricia Lynn Maturin and Chance Maturin, her first husband, Robert Bobby Semar and her second husband, Alton Hot Rod Maturin, parents, Moise Tauzin and Yvonne Barrilleaux Romero, one sister, Cynthia T. Grow and a brother, Russell Allen Tauzin. Pallbearers will be Corey Maturin, Kenneth, Darrell, Jarrad and Derek Tauzin, Joseph Toucheque and Brody Courville.
