Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Joshua Paul Punch , 35, will be held on Friday June 15, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday June 14, at David's Funeral Home at 316 Youngsville Hwy from 10am to 10pm and will resume on Friday, June 15 at 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Carencro, La Joshua was a resident of Erath passed on to a better place Sunday June 3 2012, he graduate of Comeaux High School. He served in the Louisiana Army National Guard in the 256th Infantry Brigade in Lafayette, La. Joshua had a successful career in the oilfield and was working as an HTK Completions Consultant for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Joshua was a friend to all who met him, and a loving and giving father, husband, brother and son. He was a great outdoorsman, horseman, and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and friends, trail rides, N.O. Saints, and LSU games, dancing, and family outings. Joshua was a loving husband to Misty Boggs Punch, father to Samantha Leigh Cawyer, Justin Andrew Paul Punch, Colton Gary Punch, Gavyn Christopher Page, Myka Renai Page, and baby Joshua. Joshua was the beloved son of Wilson A. Punch Jr. and Marion Howard Punch. Joshua was the loving brother to Troy Andrew Punch, Ryan Taylor Punch, and Bonnie Jean Punch, his twin sister who passed before him in August 2006. Brother in law to Rachelle Thibodeaux Punch, Shanna Guidry Punch, Christy Boggs Girouard, Belit Boggs Meyers,and Will Boggs and son-in law to Paula Bonin. Joshua was the loving uncle to Christopher Andrew Punch, Courtney Nicole Punch, Amanda Lynn Punch, Taylor Ray Punch, Gracie Ann Punch, Brooklyn Jade Punch, and Caden James Lasseigne. Joshua is also survived by his maternal grandmother Mary L. Howard of Gonzales, La. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Bonnie Jean Punch, paternal grandfather Wilson A Punch, Sr. paternal grandmother Lovinia Punch, maternal grandfather Henry C. Howard and paternal Uncle Kerry Punch. Joshua's family and friends are deeply grieved by his passing and will always miss him. Joshua was always loving and generous. Someone, who could be counted on to help anyone in need, family or friend. He will always be in our hearts and thoughts with every sunrise and sunset on the water, in the marsh, or the mountains, and wherever we find ourselves as we celebrate his life and all of the ways he has touched us all so deeply. Pallbearers will be Troy Punch, Ryan Punch, Kerry Michael Cardinale, George Pfister, Cy Hardy, Gary Earnest, Jeremiah Earnest, and Josh Earnest. David's Funeral Home will be handling all arrangements.
