Vida Broussard Drago

Visitation was on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary prayed by Deacon Wade Broussard in the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Visitation resumed on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 9:00 AM until services.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Drago died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 4:50 AM in a New Iberia nursing center. She was a former member of the Lioness Club of New Iberia and attended St. Peters Catholic Church for many years.

She is survived by her grandsons, Donald J. Donny Drago of Austin, TX and Craig J. Drago of Edmond, OK; her great grandson, Angelo J. Drago of Baton Rouge; her great granddaughter, Kristina Marie Drago of Edmond, OK; her nieces, Lurline Broussard of New Iberia and Mary Bako of Lafayette; her nephews, Charles Boo Meyers, J. Olton Sue Hebert both of New Iberia and Clevis Gene Broussard of Lafayette and her former daughter-in-law, Peggy L. Harvey of Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam J. Drago; her parents, Ovey and Elia Broussard Broussard; her son, Donald A. Drago; her sisters, Evita Meyers and Dula Hebert and her brothers, Clevis Broussard, Obrey Broussard, Oris Broussard and Nathan Broussard.

Pallbearers was Donald J. Donny Drago, Craig J. Drago, Angelo J. Drago. James Langlinais, Charles Meyers and Gabe Bako.

Honorary pallbearer was Mack Rodrigues.
