Christine Muffoletto Armentor

New Iberia- Funeral services for Mrs. Ivan John Armentor, the former Christine Marie Muffoletto, age 87, will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at David Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm with Father Edward Duhon to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Wednesday morning at 9:00am and last until service time with a recitation of the Rosary at 11:00am.

A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Teenie as she was affectionately known passed away on Sunday January 20, 2013 at 12:55pm at a local nursing home. Mrs. Armentor enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, loved gardening and had a passion for growing the most beautiful plants and flowers. She was a very dear, compassionate, and kind person. She loved her family unconditionally and had a very strong faith that carried her through the last days of her life.

She is survived by her children, Richard G. Armentor and wife Connie, Patrice A. Fontenot and husband Eugene, and Melanie A. Blanchard and husband Greg all of New Iberia; grandchildren, Michael J. Armentor Jr. of Lafayette, Christopher Armentor of Jeanerette, Lindsey A. Guillory of New Iberia, Jason Armentor of Youngsville, Monique F. Romero of St. Martinville, Matthew Fontenot of New Iberia, and Jordy Blanchard of Lafayette; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ivan John Armentor; parents, Paul Joseph and Josephine Piraro Muffoletto; son, Michael J. Armentor Sr.; brothers, Tom, Vincent, Sam and Joe Muffoletto; and sisters, Sarah Liberto, Dora Macionne, Carrie Muffoletto, Rose Gautreaux, and Christina Muffoletto.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Armentor Jr., Christopher Armentor, Jordy Blanchard, Matthew Fontenot, Greg Blanchard, Jason Armentor, and Eugene Fontenot.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her two special caregivers, Nursey Colar, and Diane Alexander.
