David Desormeaux

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Erath and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Desormeaux died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at his residence. He worked many years in the oilfield industry as a wireline operator and truck driver along with many other projects. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his children, Todd Desormeaux and his wife Tonya of Williston, ND, Jonathan B. Desormeaux of New Iberia, Brittany Ann Desormeaux of Lafayette and Tarek David of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Tarek David, II, Joshua David, Chelsey Desormeaux, Alli Claire Desormeaux, David Michael Desormeaux and Jessye Lynn Desormeaux; his sisters, Dorsey Darby of Delcambre, Ella Freyou of New Iberia, Adley Touchet of Abbeville and Lilly Comeaux of Erath.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nedral David Desormeaux; his parents, Fernance and Cedia Dore Desormeaux; his son, David Jude "Davy" Desormeaux; his sisters, Alma Dugas, Lillian Desormeaux, Effie Guidry, Mavis Hulin, Sadie Smith and Wilda Hebert and his brothers, Jack Desormeaux, Curly Desormeaux and Alvin T-Boy Desormeaux.

Pallbearers will be Todd M. Desormeaux, Jonathan B. Desormeaux, Brittany Ann Desormeaux and Nathan Hebert.
