Theresa Babin Romero

Visitation will be on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 1:00 PM unitl 10:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 8:00 AM until services.

A native of St. Martin Parish, resident of Crowley and a former resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Romero died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:28 AM in a Crowley nursing center. She loved to fish, drink coffee, seafood and family.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Romero and his wife Gloria of Rayne and Harold Romero and his wife Debra of New Iberia; her daughters, Brenda Kern and her husband Henry of New Braunfels, TX and Emily Broussard of New Iberia; her sisters, Thelma Hulin, Jenny Lopiccolo both of New Iberia, Clelie Svoboda of Arlington, TX and Jane Stevick of Deridder, LA; her grandchildren, Toby Kern, Natalie Kern, Kristy Ponvelle, Jeremy Romero, Andy Bourque, Jamie Bourque, Chad Bourque, Kenny Romero and Brooke Romero and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Yolande Melancon Babin; her daughter, Linda Romero; her sisters, Cecelia Sis Metz, Eula Russo and Sandra Gail Ball; her brothers, Garland Babin, Antoine Babin, Harold Babin, Howard Babin and Ervin Babin.

Pallbearers will be Harold Romero, Wayne Romero, Henry Kern, Toby Kern, Chad Bourque, Andy Bourque, Kenny Romero and Jeremy Romero.
