Velma Granger Gondron

Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Gilman Gam Gondron, the former Velma Granger, 93, on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with her grandson, Rev. Darren Eldridge, officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2011, from 9:00 AM until services and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Gondron passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 4:55 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She was a charitable person, she enjoyed and loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail G. Louviere and her husband, Loto, Jr. and Tressie G. Sonnier and her husband Richard Ricky all of Loreauville; her son, Gerard B-Boy Gondron of Loreauville; her sister, Doris Prados of Loreauville and her brother, Alfred Benny Granger of New Iberia.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Granny , Annette L. Ronsonet and her husband Tommy, Warren Louviere, Joan L. Berard and her husband Stephen, Rev. Darren Eldridge, Angela E. Welton, Kylie E. Deslatte and her husband Troy, John Eldridge and his wife Dana, Kelly Eldridge, Lauren S. Lee and her husband Chris and Justin Sonnier; her great grandchildren, Brynn L. Borres and her husband Brock, Willie Ronsonet and his wife Lyndsie, Kirby Ronsonet, Kandis Louviere, Jacob Berard, Ashley Berard, Eli Berard, Cameron Welton, Lexie Welton, Kyrie Deslatte, Kayden Deslatte, Dailon Eldridge, Malaine Eldridge, Christopher Lee, Collin Lee and Caden Lee and her great great grandchildren, Emma Arnaud and Bennett Arnaud.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilman Gam Gondron; her parents, Alfred and Sidonia Gonsoulin Granger; her daughter, Katherine Kathy Eldridge; her son-in-law, Darrel Eldridge; her brothers and sister-in-laws, Walter Granger and his wife, Luna L., Francis Granger and his wife Johnnie K., Ronald Granger and his wife Jenny T. and Warren Granger; her sisters and brothers-in-laws, May G. Ransonet and her husband Stanley, Odette G. Louviere and her husband Amos and Maude Granger; her sister-in-law, Gloria Granger; her brother-in-law, John Prados; her great grandson, Kaisten Deslatte and her great great grandson, Hayes Borres.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
