New Iberia " A Memorial Service will be conducted for Mrs. Charles W. Griffith the former Nancine Moreland, Age 55, at 10:30AM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. David Denton officiating. Inurnment will follow at Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum. A ritual will be conducted by the VFW Post 1982 Ladies Auxiliary at the Mausoleum. Born in Lake Charles and a longtime resident of New Iberia Nancine died Monday November 7, 2011 at 10:04AM at her residence in New Iberia. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church having served as a caregiver for the children in the after- hours care program. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart of Hospice. Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Griffith of New Iberia, a daughter, Mary Elisabeth Griffith of New Iberia, her mother, Mary Broussard Moreland of New Iberia, two sisters, Debra Boutte and Brenda Moreland both of New Iberia and two brothers, Robert Moreland Jr. of Loreauville and John Moreland of Colorado. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Rose Griffith, her father, Robert Moreland Sr., maternal grandparents, Paul and Lillian Babin Broussard and her paternal grandparents, John and Hazel Stewart Moreland.
