Broussard - A Mass of Christian Burial for Miss. Stephanie Ann Broussard, 57, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 11:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A native of Lafayette, Miss Broussard passed away at 3:15 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her residence. She devoted 31 years as a school teacher for Catholic Education serving at both St. Leo Seton and St. Cecilia Catholic Schools, never having been a mother; Stephanie considered all of the children she taught as well as her nieces and nephews as her children. She is survived by her sibling, Claire B. Hebert and husband Ernest of Broussard, Donna B. Nance and husband Gary of Youngsville, Geralyn B. Biediger and husband A.O. Trey III of Victoria, TX, Brian G. Bruce Broussard and wife Donna of Youngsville, Kevin G. Broussard and wife Rechelle of Lyons Point and Karen Rabalais and husband Arthur Rocky of Broussard;a very special friend Norbert Perry of Oakdale La.; and her lifelong friend Martha Crombie of Naple Fla.; nieces and nephews, AECS (AW/SW) Thomas Hebert US Navy, Daniel Hebert, Jack Arceneaux, Michael Nance, Kristi Biediger Gibson, Brent Biediger, Valerie Biediger Vincik, Stacie Baudoin, Blake Broussard, Paige Broussard, Shevon B. Menard, Camille B. Gautreaux, Maria B. Smith, Matthew Broussard, Luke Broussard, Caleb Broussard, Alexandra Alex Rabalais and Cullen Rabalais; great nieces and nephews , Gabriel and Grace Hebert, Cami Breaux, Kameron Arceneaux, Karli Arceneaux and Aubrey Gibson. She was preceded in death by her parents , Jean EdwinOpa and Theresa Oma Zaunbrecher Broussard. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews Thomas Hebert, Daniel Hebert, Jack Arceneaux, Michael Nance, Brent Biediger, Blake Broussard, Mathew Broussard, Luke Broussard, Caleb Broussard, and Cullen Rabalais. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Hospice of Acadiana (2600 Johnson St. Suite 200 Lafayette La. 70501) David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Highway, (337) 837-9887, is in charge of arrangements.
