Overton J. Rouly

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Overton J. Nookie Rouly, 78, on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Enurnment will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Rouly died on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 4:40 AM at his residence. He worked in the oil field industry and retired with Global Industries. He was a veterans of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Army. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved his animals and the outdoors. He also loved collecting treasurers.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ada Segura Rouly of New Iberia; his sons, Otis Rouly and his wife Elizabeth, Mark Rouly and his wife Regina and Ron Rouly and his wife Sandra all of New Iberia; his daughter, Berl Guidry and her husband Todd of Delcambre; his sister, Elda Viator and her husband Purlis of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathon, Taylor, Rusty, Russell and Courtney Rouly all of New Iberia and Hudson and Hayes Guidry both of Delcambre and his great granddaughter, Madilyn Rouly of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Azema Rivette Rouly; his daughter, Monia Rouly; his brothers, Earl and Huey Rouly; his sisters, Sylvia Leleux and Loudell Babineaux and his grandchild, Tiffani Rouly.

Pallbearers will be Todd Guidry, Gerald Patin, Rusty, Russell, Joshua and Jonathon Rouly, Purvis Picard and Tony Sturlese.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hudson and Hayes Guidry, Purlis Viator, Daniel Hebert, Gayle Derouen, Jason Ardoin, Craig and Wendell Hebert.
