Youngsville- A Celebration of Life will be held for Hilda M. Randall, 77, on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 3:00PM at Covenant United Methodist Church, 300 E. Martial Avenue, Lafayette, LA 70508. She was born March 6, 1935 in Jena, LA to the union of Leonard M. Manchester and Minnie Lou Allen Manchester. Hilda received her undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech; her masters degree, Plus 30, and Reading Specialist certification at LSU, Baton Rouge. She taught school at Bossier High School, Jena High School, Block High School, Baker High School and Baker Middle School. She retired as principal of Baker Middle School. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and her hobbies included fishing, reading and sewing. She is survived by her mother, Minnie Lou Manchester; her husband Lonnie Gene Randall, Sr. and two sons, Lonnie Gene Randall, Jr., DVM and his wife Blythe and John M. Randall and his wife Kathleen and four grandsons Tyler, Jacob, Mark and Brett Randall. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Hilda, especially Dr. Deborah Johnson and her entire staff, Dr. John Mickey, Dr. Troy Martin, Dr. Troy Martin, Dr. Henry Kaufman, Dr. Kathleen Schmeler (M.D. Anderson) and the staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
