Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Van Bruce Williams, Sr. the former Anna Belle Derise, Age 72, at 11:00AM Thursday April 5, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday April 4, 2012 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Williams died Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 9:45AM at Iberia Medical Center. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette. Survivors include her husband, Van Bruce Williams, Sr. of Jeanerette; one son, Chad Trammell and wife Susan of Franklin; one daughter, Josette T. Sonnier and husband David of Jeanerette; step sons, Van B. Williams, Jr. and wife Patty of Thibodeaux, James Williams and wife Vivian and Ken Williams all of West Monroe; step daughters, Karen Carnahan and husband Patrick of West Monroe, Linda Luke and husband Kevin and Trudy Williams all of Thibodeaux; five grandchildren, David Sonnier Jr, Joshua Sonnier and Matthew Sonnier all of Jeanerette, Evan and Rachel Trammell both of Franklin; two sisters, Audrey Crocker of Bayou Vista and Hazel Barrilleaux of Jeanerette; 16 step grandchildren and 21 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ulysses and Anna Durocher Derise; three brothers, Hilton, Julius and Olan Derise and her beloved Nicholas Falterman. Pallbearers will be Chad and Evan Trammell, David Sonnier, Sr., Joshua and Matthew Sonnier and Dr. James Falterman Jr. David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St. Jeanerette, La.
