Dorothy Adkins Rich

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. William K. Rich, Sr., the former Dorothy Atkins, 89, on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hagan officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 8:00 AM until services. A native of Haynesville and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Rich died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 5:45 AM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She was a Seamstress who loved fashion. She also loved her flowers and gardening; her dogs and cats and her friends and family. She is survived by her daughter-in-laws, Dorothy V. Rich of New Iberia and Shirley Rich of Ruston. She was also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Rich, Sr.; her parents, Manselle and Arbilla Atkins; her sons, William K. Rich, Jr. and Robert G. Rich, Sr.; her daughter, Delores R. Odom; her son-in-law, Max Odom an her grandchild, Robert Glen Robbie Rich, Jr.. Pallbearers will be William Rich, III, Roger Duncan, Matthew Rich, Shane Rich, Steve Odom, Chase Barthelemy, Kevin Rich and Chris Rich.
