New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Clarence R. Bubba Marsalis, 67, on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Paul Onugebe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services. A vigil service will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home parlor with Rev. Ron Love officiating. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at 7:00 PM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Marsalis passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at 4:20 PM at his residence. He was a retired contractor and retail lumber salesman. He is survived by his wife, Myrna Segura Marsalis of New Iberia; his daughters, Wendy Oubre and her husband Lee of Lafayette, Annette Sissy Marsalis of Fayetteville, NC, Virginia Marsalis of Avery Island, Crystal Marsalis of Willis, TX and Lolian Kay Choplin and her husband Brian of Broussard; his sisters, Patsy M. Rader and her husband Norris, Sr. of New Iberia, Virginia M. Savoy and her husband Cortney of Sunset and Frankie M. LeBlanc and her husband Nellon of New Iberia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chad Oubre and fiancee Amy Daigle, Stefan Oubre, Christiana Oubre all of Lafayette, Tony Tigart, Jr., Dylan Tigart both of Fayetteville, NC, Brayton Romero of Youngsville, Natalie Breaux, Kaylynn Marsalis, Kasey Crandall all of Broussard and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy M. and Virginia Buster Smith Marsalis and his sister, Susie M. Perry.
