Lydia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Howard Freyou, Sr., the former Beatrice Boutte, 86, on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Gregory Chauvin officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 6:00 PM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Freyou passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 5:18 PM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She loved dancing, traveling and enjoyed going to the USS Maryland Reunion with her husband. She is survived by her sons, Howard Freyou, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Washington, DC, and Dean Freyou and his wife Jackie of New Iberia; her daughters, Maryland Broussard and her husband, Norbert of New Iberia and Donna Thibodeaux and her husband Ricky of Pineville; her sisters, Odette Crochet of New Iberia and Betty Louviere of Franklin; her grandson, Derek Freyou and his wife Kassi of New Iberia; her granddaughters, Becky Weatherby and her husband Danny of Washington, DC, Mindy Boudreaux and her husband Scott of Broussard, Brandy Newnam of New Iberia and Alysia Hawthorne and her husband Chris of Pineville; her great grandchildren, Mary and Sethlene Weatherby and Colin and Jacob Boudreaux and Tyler Hawthorneand her godchild, Cathleen Quereaux of Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Freyou, Sr.; her parents, Laurent and Amelia Robicheaux Boutte; her sister, Rose Louviere; her brothers, Louis and Jimmy Boutte and a grandson, Ryan Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Dean Freyou, Derek Freyou, Norbert Broussard, Ricky Thibodeaux, Scott Boudreaux and Chris Hawthorne. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Freyou, Mindy Boudreaux, Brandy Newnam and Alysia Hawthorne. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
