New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Norbert Dartez the former Juanita LeBlanc, Age 89, at 10:00AM Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Richard Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday December 6, 2011 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia Mrs. Dartez died Saturday December 3, 2011 at 5:40PM in a local health care facility. Mrs. Dartez was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was also a retired Catechism teacher and Eucharistic Minister. She retired from Peoples Bank. Mrs. Dartez was a Pink Lady for 20 years at both Iberia Medical Center and Dauterive Hospital. She was a resident of New Iberia Manor South. The family would like to thank the Nursing staff at New Iberia Manor South, Doctor Mata, Doctor Sigue and Heart of Hospice for the love, support and care given to Mrs. Dartez. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart of Hospice, 201 West Vermilion, Suite 200 Lafayette, La. 70501. Survivors include her children, Ronald J. Dartez Sr. and wife Mary of New Iberia, a son-in-law Jerry Williams of Slidell, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert Dartez, children, Pearl Williams and Richard Ricky Dartez, parents, Remy and Louise Goulash LeBlanc, two brothers, Roland and Remy Leblanc, a sister, Rosemary Breaux, a half brother, Dalton LeBlanc and 2 half sisters, Dora Voorhies and Hazel Landry. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dartez, Jr., Ty Dartez, Chad Brock, Kelly Dugas, Warren Breaux, Eric Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Armstrong, Fred and Danny Dupuis.
