Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Nola Gary Touchet, 79, will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, with Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 9:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being recited at 7:00PM and will resume on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Interment will follow the services in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. A native of Youngsville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Touchet passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at a local hospital. She is survived by six children, Clevin Touchet and wife Carol of St. Martinville, Gladys T. Romero of Delcambre, Jeanelle T. Segura of New Iberia, Allen Touchet and wife Shirley of Youngsville, Suzie T. Breaux and husband Wilder of New Iberia and Sandra T. Richard of Church Point; one sister, Shirley Mae Segura and husband Willis of Jeanerette; three brothers, Leonie Gary and wife Irene of New Iberia, Vinton Gary of Erath and Wilson Gary and wife Dee of Cade; and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Touchet; her parents, Leon and Ozile Romero Gary; daughter, Verna Mae Gary; two sons-in-law, Bobby Segura and Lonnie Romero; and three brothers, Wilfred Gary, Percy J. Gary and Nezip Gary. Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Touchet, Paul J. Touchet, Devin Touchet, Steve Gary, Willis Johnson and Wilson Gary. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Touchet, Jr. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Highway, (337) 837-9887, is in charge of arrangements.
