Jesse "Joe" Boudreaux

Lydia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Jesse Joe Boudreaux on Wednesday December 14, 2011 at 11:00AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Gregory Chauvin serving as officiant. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home in New Iberia on Tuesday December 13, 2011 starting at 4:00PM and concluding at 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church from at 9:00AM until service time. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Boudreaux, age 59, passed away at his residence on Monday December 12, 2011 at 7:30AM with his family by his side. Mr. Jesseworked 41 years as a hoist man for Morton Salt. In his spare time Mr. Boudreaux enjoyed fishing, boating, woodworking, going on Sunday drives, visiting the casinos, and vacationing in New Orleans. Joe also enjoyed watching old western movies, his favorite being Gunsmoke . But none of these compared to the time he spent with his family, especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his Wife of 37 years, Anita Mendoza Boudreaux; two sons, Anthony Tony Boudreaux and wife Martha of Terrytown, La., and Cory M. Boudreaux and wife Alicia of New Iberia, La.; three brothers, Jerry Boudreaux and wife Romona of Jeanerette, Larry Boudreaux and wife Denise of Lydia, and Jimmy Boudreaux and wife Roberta of Lydia; sister, Pasty Barrilleaux and husband Percy of New Iberia; four grandchildren, Autumn Burnett of Terrytown, La., Destiny Burnett of Terrytown, La., Dustin Boudreaux of New Iberia, and Jesse Boudreaux of New Iberia.

He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Paula Luent Boudreaux, and sister, Susan Ramzan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Boudreaux, Larry Boudreaux, Jimmy Boudreaux, Percy Barrilleaux, Nezam Ramzan, Ellis Butch Schouest, Russell Rut Picard, and Alfred Al Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Boudreaux, Jesse Boudreaux, Carl Mendoza, and Scott Mendoza.
