Presley Suire

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home at 1101 Trotter St. in New Iberia on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 6:30 PM.

A native of Delcambre, a resident of Opelousas and a former resident of New Iberia, Mr. Suire died on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 3:14 AM in an Opelousas hospital. He was a machinist and worked for Voorhies Supply and retired from Superior Valve. He was a greeter at Wal Mart in New Iberia for many years.

He is survived by his son, Johnny Suire and his wife Jody of Opelousas; his grandchildren, Cyndi Guidry and her husband Mark of New Iberia and Melanie Suire of Erath; his great grandchildren, Brittney Suire of Eunice, Morghan Guidry, Jadyn Guidry both of New Iberia and Lane Guidry of Erath; his sister, Elamae Trahan of New Iberia; his step-grandchildren, Shawn Viator and her husband Bobby of Breaux Bridge and Mark Burgess of Opelousas; his step-great grandchildren, Christan LeBlanc, Julian LeBlanc, Eli Viator all of Breaux Bridge, Kasie Vaughn of Pearland, TX and Kathleen Burgess of Opelousas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Gary Suire; his parents, Alexie Suire and Edna Bourque Suire; his brother, Wilma Suire and his sisters, Rose Delcambre and Velva Barrilleaux.

Pallbearers will be Corney and Dalton Barrilleaux, Perry and Blake Trahan, Lenward Landry and Michael Theriot.

Honorary pallbearers will be Percy and Paul Barrilleaux, Mark Guidry, Mark Burgess, Bobby Viator and Mike Suire.
