Allen Dore

Visitation will be on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 6:30 PM.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Dore passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 9:55 AM at his residence. He was a sales representative with George H. Lehleitner and Company in New Orleans. He lettered in Boxing for 5 years at New Iberia High School and won a State Championship. He was a member of the New Iberia Jaycees for many years and a past member of the Krewe of Iberians and Krewe of Andalusia.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Dore; his sister, Nella D. Viator and three sister-in-laws, Gerry Dore, Ella Bott and Jeanette Dore. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Grinsted Dore; his parents, Wallace and Levie Viator Dore and his brothers, Joseph, Lawless and Nerry Dore and his sister, Eula D. Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Broussard, Nicholas Broussard, Tommy Dore, Dwayne Dore, Rodney Dore and Steve Viator.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Dore and James Bott.
