Lafayette- Christian Funeral Services will be held for Debbie Sue Menard Smith, 54, at 12:00PM on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, LA with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 9:00AM until 10:00PM and will be resume on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Interment will follow services at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Youngsville, LA. A resident of Youngsville, LA, Debbie was a 1975 graduate of Comeaux High School in Lafayette, LA and was currently a Senior with Grand Canyon University majoring in accounting. She was a loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and friend to many whom will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Jason Smith of Youngsville, LA; mother, Joyce Duhon Menard of Youngsville, LA; brothers, Wayne Menard and his wife, Missy of Florence, SC, Tommy Menard and his companion, Diana of Youngsville, LA and Randy Menard and his wife, Gwen of Lafayette, LA; sister, Brenda Guillot and her husband, Daniel of Lafayette,LA; brother, David Menard and is wife, Tina of Lafayette, LA; sister Lisa Menard Lavergne and her husband, Ricky of Scott as well as a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by husband, Wilton Joseph Smith and her father, Lawrence James Menard. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Menard, Tommy Menard, Ricky Lavergne, Daniel Guillot, Hallet Smith, Robert Laperouse, Bobby Joe Smith and Billy Jack Smith.
