Gladys Kinniff

Visitation will be on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 6:00 PM.

A native of Abbeville and a resident of Gueydan and New Iberia for many years, Mrs. Kinniff passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:25 PM at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Houma. She worked for Southern Pacific Transport Company in New Iberia and retired from New Iberia Hardware. Gladys was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family and guests. She enjoyed working in her yard.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Pat, together they shared 53 years of marriage until his passing in 1997. Also preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles and Orelia Libersat of Gueydan; her son, Michael Kinniff; her brother, Charles Libersat. Jr. and her sister, Mildred Libersat.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jeffery Kinniff and his wife Bonnie of Dublin, OH and David Kinniff and his wife Karen of Houma; her grandchildren, Jennifer Kinniff and her husband Michael Gittings of Washington, D.C., Amy Treeger of Dublin, OH, Kristine Manak and her husband Mike of Sealy, TX and Tommy Kinniff and his wife Melissa of Lafayette; her great grandchildren Logan and Caleb Manak, Parker, Isabella and Sophie Kinniff.
