A native of Jeanerette, LA and longtime resident of New Iberia, LA, BW died Wednesday, August 29,2012 at 12:08 pm in Kinder, LA.
In the late 1950s, BW was a guard on the Jeanerette High School football team.
BW started his business career with his first endeavor, The Robo Carwash on Canal in Jeanerette, followed by The Donut Shop on Main, and many other successful businesses. He became a private investigator and a personal body guard for celebrities and government officials in 1975, and continued working as a private investigator until he retired.
BW was an accomplished baker and enjoyed spending time at the gun range.
Survivors include his children, Sharon B. Buck and husband Bill of Mansfield, TX, Bobby W. Bonin, Jr. of San Marcos, TX, Sean Ray Bonin of New Iberia, LA; former wife and the mother of his children, Wanda T. Bonin, of Marrero, LA; one brother, Ulysse J. Bonin, Jr., of Youngsville, LA,; two sisters, Samantha B. Brzezinski, of Fresno, CA and Susan B. Perero, of New Iberia, LA; two aunts Rita E. Cunningham, of Houma, LA and G. Noonie Toups, of New Iberia, LA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysse J. Bonin, Sr. and Lula Rawlins Bonin, both of Jeanerette, LA; two brothers, Gerald H. Bonin, Sr. and Bryon T. Bonin; and his beloved dog Macey Leeroy Fontenot .
